One of my favorite artists is MoZella. Her voice is absolutely angelic! Her albums have a wonderful mix of energetic and moving tracks. I could never pick a favorite song, but I think this song sums up my day! Enjoy!

Weight Loss Goals
I am setting my first weight loss goal. I have dieted before, but it has always been a plan set up by a coach. Because this will be my first time dieting without the guidance of a coach, I have made my goal pretty low. I want to lose 5lbs in the next 4 weeks. I think 5lbs in 4 weeks is totally reasonable! I'm not going to worry about it to much, I am not going to starve myself, or exercise like a maniac. I want to do this the healthy way. Im going to eat healthy foods, and go to the gym 4-6 times a week.
I am mostly concerned about making sure I live a healthy lifestyle. If that means I dont loss 5lbs, Im fine with that. I just want to healthy, and a little fitter.

Elsa Peretti Open Heart Silk Bracelet
This bracelet recently caught my eye, and I can't stop thinking about it! It is the Elsa Peretti Open Heart Silk Bracelet from Tiffany & Co.
It isn't to casual, but its not to flashy. Its elegance with a twist! I think it would quickly become an everyday staple in my wardrobe! I may have to add this to my Christmas List ;)

Tuesday Toes!
I tried out a new pedicure design this past weekend, and I'm in love!
The red is Essie's Jag-u-are, which is a perfect red! Not to orange, not to dark, not to pink! It is totally appropriate for every occasion or season!
A close up. A little too close for my taste!
The leopard print was relatively easy. Just randomly paint a few gold dots all over the nail. Then once the gold has dried, paint a few THIN black lines around the gold. You do not want the black to go all the way around the gold, and you don't want it to be to thick.
I am eager to try this print over a hot pink! I think it would look FAB!

Music Mondays ~ Brendan James
My most recent music obsession has been “The Fall” by the divine Brendan James. I have probably listened to the song more than 500 times in the last week! Not an exaggeration, my neighbors probably hate me by now, but I don’t care, because the song is AMAZING! It never fails to put a big cheesy grin on my face!

L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Waterproof Review
A few weeks ago I picked up L’Oreal’s Voluminous Million Lashes at my local CVS. It was about $9, and I have to say I’m pretty impressed. The packaging is glamorous, and I really like the wand.
I choose the waterproof version on a whim, and I’m glad I did, because this sucker does not budge! It holds a curl, doesn’t flake, and gives my lashes TONS of volume. Most days I only wear one coat, because I feel that it gives me plenty of volume, and makes my lashes look amazing! If I am going out for the night, I might put on two coats. You can not let the mascara dry in-between coats, it will just turn to a clumpy mess!
Without Any Mascara
One Coat
Two Coats (which is what I normally wear)
After 36+ Hours
I was serious when I said this stuff doesn’t move! The above picture is more than 36 hours after I applied it! I have washed my face (multiple times), showered, and still Perfect!
The only down side is the removal process, and it is a lengthy process! I take a cotton pad soaked with eye makeup remover, and leave it on my eye for 3~5 minutes, rinse my eyes with water, and sometimes I have to repeat. This is a price I am willing to pay. And, since I’m such a busy person, not having to apply mascara everyday is kinda nice. Kinda…
MY Great Race- Nike Women’s Marathon 2011 (NWM Part 2)
My girlfriends and I arrived in San Francisco (one of my favorite cities in the WORLD) the night before the race. We had a delicious dinner at a restaurant down the street from where we were staying, painted our nails a fabulous neon pink, and went to bed. We woke up at 5am, I had some oatmeal and an energy drink, pinned on the race bib, and hopped in the car.
The starting line was INSANE! There were so many people, and everyone was so excited! The energy was contagious! As we stood around waiting for the start I became very nervous. I knew what I was about to put my body through, and I was not excited about the pain that was sure to come.
So, once we made it through the start (a whole 20 minutes after the official start of the race, but I could have cared less) I hit a pace I was comfortable with, and ran! I felt good, I was excited and totally ready for the next 13 miles. I kept my pace at around 9 minutes for the first 6 miles (except for a quick bathroom break, which was seriously necessary), and I felt that I would be able to keep the pace for the whole race. That was until I came to the first hill. I had been dreading this hill since I looked at the course map, so I knew it was coming, but I was totally unprepared. The hill kicked my ass. Luckily I caught up will a good friend right before the hill, and she kept me going. But, the hill defiantly messed with my mind, and the rest of the race only got worse.
Miles 6-10 were good. Not as amazing as 1-6, but still pretty good. There were LOTS of hills, but what goes up must come down, so there were some nice downhill sections too! And the views were STUNNING!
It wasn’t until mile 10 that I hit the “wall”. Now, it wasn’t “THE WALL”, but it wasn’t fun. I just blocked out the pain, and kept going. It was slow, but I made it!
The Lead Up to MY Great Race (NWM Part 1)
I recently ran my first half marathon! I was an unforgettable experience, and I am already looking forward to my next half marathon (I have NO intention of running a full marathon in the foreseeable future)!
I decided to sign up for the Nike Women’s Half Marathon along with a few of my girlfriends. We are a pretty athlete group of girls, but most of us had never run a half marathon. So it was quite an eye opening experience for most of us.
We signed up in the spring while we were all in great shape! While we defiantly were not runners, we were some of the fittest girls on campus, so the race would be a breeze! Right?
NO! Most defiantly NOT!
When summer came along we went our separate ways for break, and I trained HARD! Like, two workouts a day HARD! I was feeling great, and looking forward to running the half, mostly because I thought it would be easy, and fun! Little did I know what the world had in store for me!
I injured myself pretty badly towards the end of the summer, and my training cam to a screeching halt. As an athletic person, this was devastating. Literally world shattering.
I got back to running as soon as I could, but I had pretty much turned to a lump of skin and bones. So I decided to simply run the race for fun, not for time. I was going to run just for myself, which was a foreign concept for me.
I started to focus on running to feel good, not to beat the clock. And I fell in love with running!
Then I came back to school, and my life got REALLY busy! So, I hard to put running on the back burner.
Before I knew it, it was the weekend of the race! And was I ready to RUN!
Babbles from a Girl...
This is my first blog post! I have no idea what is driving me to blog, but I'm not going to be putting on the breaks!
I want this blog to be a place where I can share some of my thoughts on EVERYTHING. And I really mean EVERYTHING! School, beauty, athletics, travel, music...
So here goes nothing!
